Together with the opening of the International Film and Music Festival Kustendorf 2011, the exhibition of photographs of the famous Italian cinematographer and photographer, Arturo Zavattini, Attimi di pausa de La Dolce Vita, openedin the Drvengrad Gallery “Mazzola.” Twenty black and white photos that were taken in 1960 during the filming of the cult Fellini movie, La Dolce Vita, were unveiled at the exhibition. Zavattini succeeded to use the special atmosphere on set during the pauses in the movie and record with his camera the charm and magic of the world ‘behind-the-scenes’. The documentary appearance of these photographs on which director Federico Fellini, actor Marcello Mastroianni, singer Nico and many others appear, depicts in the right way a carefree time, the joy of life, and creativity.
After the closing of Kustendorf, this exhibition will be a part of the permanent setting in the newly opened space of the Noam Chomsky amphitheatre.
